Dan Titus

Performance Tent

Dan Titus is a singer songwriter from Harlow, Essex and attended Burtmill Secondary School in the 90s, which was probably the most musically creative time of his life. Being surrounded by so much talent at school gave him the inspiration to be his own person and pursue his dreams at any cost. As one can imagine, the bands around at that time were legendary, and everyone tried to be as rock'n'roll as them, (albeit with a few questionable fashion choices along the way). He listened to a wide range of music as a child. From hearing his mother blast out artists like Diana Ross, Phil Collins, and The Temptations on Sunday afternoons to his grandfather playing military marching bands while taking him and his brother out in his work vans. Dan quickly got hooked on Queen and was known to jump about his bedroom wielding a tennis racket, jamming out to "Bohemian Rhapsody." Learning to play the guitar was very difficult for him at first. "Zombie" by The Cranberries was the first song he taught his little brother, Philip Titus, how to play. Philip went on to be signed by EMI Records and toured with well-known artists such as Biffy Clyro and The Wombats. Unfortunately, Philip lost his life to cancer at the young age of 36 in March 2023. Since then, Dan has made a promise to himself to carry on the dream, keep playing, and give it everything he's got, no matter the cost. This is what he continues to do. When Philip died, his acoustic guitars were left in Dan's care, and these are the guitars he uses for every song and at every gig. Now, Dan is giving it his all. He hopes everyone enjoys the songs as much as he loves writing and performing them. He says that he is on a mission from God.
